The Noticeable importer reads the JSON feed published by your Newspage. No API key needed, but it also means Onset only sees what’s publicly visible.
This importer is in beta. Review the imported releases before pointing customers at your new page.

What you’ll need

Your Newspage URL — either the Noticeable subdomain, e.g. yourcompany.noticeable.news, or the custom domain you point at it, e.g. updates.yourcompany.com. Before starting, confirm the feed is reachable by opening https://updates.yourcompany.com/feed.json in a browser. If that returns publications, the import will work.
Each Newspage publishes its own feed. If you run more than one Noticeable project, import them one at a time using each project’s own URL.

Run the import

Open Imports

Go to Settings → Workspace → Import.

Start the Noticeable import

Find Noticeable Import in the list and click Start import.

Enter your URL

Type the host only, e.g. updates.yourcompany.com. The https:// is added for you.

Wait for the email

The import runs in the background. Onset emails you when it’s finished, so you don’t need to keep the tab open.

What comes across

Not imported: drafts and anything not in the public feed, labels, projects, reactions, feedback, and your Noticeable audience. Import subscribers separately from a CSV.
Publication labels don’t come across. Noticeable labels are a per-page taxonomy that rarely lines up with how you’ll organize things in Onset, so it’s worth setting up labels fresh and applying them afterwards.

Feed pagination

The feed returns 100 publications per request and Onset follows the cursor through the rest, so a long history comes across in full rather than stopping at the most recent page. Larger archives take proportionally longer.

Re-running the import

Safe. Releases are matched on their slug, and anything already in your workspace is skipped rather than duplicated. If a first pass only caught part of your history, run it again.
