The Beamer importer reads your posts through the Beamer API, so it can see drafts as well as published posts.
This importer is in beta. Review the imported releases before pointing customers at your new page.

What you’ll need

Your Beamer API key. Find it in your Beamer account under Settings → API, or go straight to app.getbeamer.com/settings#api.
The key gives full access to your Beamer account, so treat it like a password. You can rotate it in Beamer once the import is done.

Run the import

Open Imports

Go to Settings → Workspace → Import.

Start the Beamer import

Find Beamer Import in the list and click Start import.

Paste your API key

Enter the key and submit.

Wait for the email

The import runs in the background. Onset emails you when it’s finished, so you don’t need to keep the tab open.

What comes across

Not imported: labels, projects, reactions, feedback, comments, segments and targeting rules, and your Beamer audience. Import subscribers separately from a CSV.

Translations

Beamer posts can hold several translations. Onset imports one version per post: the English translation if there is one, otherwise the first translation on the post. Other languages are skipped, so check any posts you maintain in multiple languages.

Re-running the import

Safe. Releases are matched on their slug, and anything already in your workspace is skipped rather than duplicated. If a first pass only caught part of your history, run it again.
