If you’re moving to Onset from another release notes tool, you can bring your published history with you rather than starting from an empty page. Imports live under Settings → Workspace → Import.
These importers bring across release notes only, not your subscribers. Import those separately from a CSV; see Importing subscribers.

Supported tools

These importers are in beta. Review the imported releases before pointing customers at your new page. Check formatting, embedded media, and publish dates in particular.

Run an import

1

Open Imports

Go to Settings → Workspace → Import.
2

Pick your source

Choose Beamer, AnnounceKit, or ReleaseNotes.io.
3

Provide your credentials

Enter the API key or URL for your existing account.
4

Review the result

The import runs in the background. Once it’s done, check your releases and fix anything that didn’t survive the conversion.

After importing

A few things worth doing before you announce the move:
  • Add labels and projects to imported releases. These don’t come across, since they’re specific to how you organize things in Onset.
  • Set up redirects from your old page if it lived on a domain you control.
  • Check that publish dates look right, so your archive reads in the correct order.

Migrating from something else
