# Page Preferences

> Language, SEO, and default views for your public page.

Configure this under **Settings → Page → Preference**.

## Page language

Sets the default language for your public page. The default is English. This controls Onset's own interface strings (buttons, labels, dates), not the content you write.

## SEO crawling

Controls whether search engines index your page.

* **Enabled** lets your releases appear in search results. Usually what you want: release notes rank well for "does *product* support X" queries.
* **Disabled** adds `noindex, nofollow` to every page. Use this for internal or pre-launch pages.

  If your page is [password protected](/page/privacy/password-protected) or [email restricted](/page/privacy/email-whitelisted-page), search engines can't index the content regardless of this setting.

## Default views

Under **Settings → Page → Releases** and **Settings → Page → Roadmap** you can set the default view for each section, and for the roadmap, the default sort order for milestones.

Visitors can change the view themselves; this just controls what they land on.

## Section visibility

Both the releases and roadmap sections can be turned off entirely. If you only want a changelog, disable the roadmap and your page becomes a single-purpose release feed.
